Senior DevOps Engineer

As a Senior DevOps Engineer, you’ll leverage your expertise to scale and optimize existing solutions while developing new ones. You’ll streamline CI/CD pipelines, ensure platform scalability, monitor performance, and uphold security. Collaborating closely with development and product teams, you’ll ensure high availability and performance as we grow globally. Your role includes troubleshooting issues, implementing best practices, and driving continuous improvement to enhance the user experience across all platforms.

What You'll Do

  • Develop, maintain, and improve CI/CD pipelines to enable fast, reliable, and automated software releases.
  • Design, build, deploy, and maintain highly scalable secure infrastructure on a public cloud environment (GCP).
  • Implement and maintain security best practices, including access control, encryption, and vulnerability management.
  • Build and implement automated testing and monitoring within the pipelines.
  • Gather, document, and shape user requirements into reliable production software.
  • Ensure seamless integration of code changes and deployments across development, staging, and production environments.
  • Maintain detailed documentation of infrastructure, processes, and tools to ensure knowledge sharing and smooth onboarding of new team members.
  • Collaborate closely with external developers, product team, and other stakeholders to ensure smooth operations and platform alignment with organizational goals.
  • Contribute to strategic planning for infrastructure and operations, aligning technical decisions with organizational goals.
  • Balance requirements given time and funding constraints, with a focus on value to our users.

You Must Have

  • Experience: at least 5-10 years of work or educational experience that is directly applicable to the primary responsibilities of this position.
    • React / React Native & Node.js
    • Firebase + Google Cloud Platform
    • RESTful APIs, consuming and developing
    • CI/CD tools such as GitLab, Jenkins, or GitHub Actions
    • BigQuery
  • Language Ability: written and spoken English fluency, with an ability to explain concepts to non-technical people.

Details

Regarding Salary

Stipends – all locations:

  • Start up stipend: $300 USD (one time)
  • Work from home stipend: up to $300 USD/quarter
  • Communications stipend: up to $150 USD/quarter
  • Benefits stipend: sufficient to cover health, dental, vision, disability, and pension

Schedule

As an international team that values collaboration, we ask that all staff be available for meetings on Monday through Thursday between 9-11am EDT / 4-6pm EET and occasionally between 8am-12pm EDT / 3-7pm EET regardless of their location. The remaining hours of your work day are flexible and will be coordinated with your supervisor.
