Two-way broadcast brings together participants at the Indigenous Summit of the Americas and the Human Rights Commission

March 29, 2001--New York-- Global Nomads Group (GNG) and the World Trust Foundation (WTF) have teamed up to conduct a live, two-way broadcast on 30 March, 2001, at 9 a.m. E.S.T , between participants at the Indigenous Summit of the Americas in Ottawa, and the Human Rights Commission in Geneva.

The interactive broadcast conference will allow participants in both events to discuss current issues relating to indigenous people, while being separated by thousands of miles. Topics of discussion will include the Digital Divide, Intellectual Property, Human Rights, and bridging the gap between northern and southern hemispheres.

While aimed primarily as a means to link two similar interest groups at two separate locations, the conference will also be made accessible to the general public via Internet. On the day of the conference, individuals linking to www.summitoftheamericas.com will be able to follow dialogues between speakers and ask questions.

Global Nomads Group and the World Trust Foundation say they expect this collaboration to open the door to more joint projects over the course of the year 2001.
