VIDEOCONFERENCE TO CONNECT CHRISTIAN, JEWISH AND MUSLIM YOUTH GLOBALLY TO SHARE HOLIDAY CELEBRATIONS

'Global Perspectives: One World, Many Celebrations' - a video dialogue moderated by Emmy award nominated producer and author Amy Eldon, is designed to promote tolerance and will bring together teenagers in Tel Aviv, New York, and Los Angeles.

New York - Dec. 11, 2003 - What do Muslims, Jews and Christians have in common? That's what teenagers in New York City, Los Angeles and Tel Aviv will attempt to find out on Wednesday, December 17th at 11:45 am (EST) during 'Global Perspectives: One World, Many Celebrations,' a worldwide videoconference. Over the course of a two-hour virtual meeting, these teenagers will share insight into their holiday customs and explore ways in which other holidays are observed by other cultures and religions. Global Nomads Group, a non-profit organization dedicated to fostering dialogue and understanding among the world's youth, in partnership with Polycom®, Inc. (NASDAQ: PLCM), Glowpoint (NASDAQ: GLOW), and Friends of Open House, is launching this holiday event designed to bring together Christian, Jewish and Muslim school children from Israel and the U.S. to both find common ground and celebrate their diversity.

The 'Global Perspectives: One World, Many Celebrations' project will link Polyprep Day School in Brooklyn, NY and The Archer School for Girls in Los Angeles with Open House, a youth center in Israel founded in 1991 to further peace and coexistence among Israeli Arabs and Jews. The live videoconference will be moderated by Amy Eldon, the Emmy-nominated host of "Dying to tell the Story," a documentary about journalists who risk their lives to do their jobs.

The meeting can be viewed live through a webcast on the Global Nomads Group web site at http://www.gng.org. Members of the press are invited to attend the event in Los Angeles, New York City and Tel Aviv.

All of the students will interact face-to-face, discussing similarities and differences between cultures and gaining a deeper understanding of diversity around the world. "Technology is making the world a much smaller place in many ways, and on Dec. 17th, video conferencing will bring these students, who are located thousands of miles away from each other, face-to-face," said Mark von Sponeck, executive director of the Global Nomads Group. "GNG's goal is to increase children's interest and understanding of diverse cultures and ways of life. With this project, we're leveraging the power of video to essentially eliminate distance and connect youth all over the world who would otherwise never have a chance to meet."

"The work that the Global Nomads Group does to foster dialogue and understanding among the world's youth has never been more important than it is today," said Michael Baker, vice president of Vertical Markets for Polycom. "We're extremely proud to be partnering with the organization once again to deliver 'Global Perspectives: One World, Many Celebrations' to help the world's Christian, Jewish and Muslim youth find common ground while also celebrating diversity."

"Glowpoint is also pleased to once again partner with Polycom and Global Nomads to create a truly global and interactive experience for these student ambassadors. Face-to-face communications is a powerful way to build trust and understanding. What better way to bridge the distances in culture and geography than through the power of video communications," said Michael Brandofino Glowpoint's Chief Technology Officer.
