Mozambique is located on the south-eastern coast of Africa, just to the west of
the large island of Madagascar. Separating Madagascar and Mozambique is a section
of the Indian Ocean called the Mozambique Channel.

The capital of Mozambique, Maputo, sits in the far south of the country, just
north of the borders with Swaziland and South Africa.
There are 10 provinces in Mozambique. From north to south: Cabo Delgado, Niassa,
Nampula, Tete, Zambezia, Manica, Sofala, Inhambane, Gaza, and the southern-most
Maputo.

the new one was installed in 1983.

Climate:
Tropical to Sub-Tropical (Note that the Tropic of Capricorn runs through the
southern end of Mozambique).
Crops & Natural Resources:
Due to the desert-like climate, there is very little arable land and soil. Thus,
the natural resources most prominent are: coal, titanium, natural gas, hydropower,
tatalum, and graphite. Severe droughts, cyclones, and floods in central and
southern provinces also deters crop growth.
