The Website

The CURRENTS website is the “Base Camp” for learning and reflection during our journey. There is a wide variety of ways you will be able to access information on this site:

  • Blogs

    Over the course of this 9 country, 100 day journey you will be able to have direct interaction with the GNG explorers, and have your questions answered via their own regularly updated blogs.

  • Country Profiles

    Each country will be profiled on the website. This is a place will you will learn about local customs, languages and interesting facts on the countries we will visit.

  • Action Center

    The action center is a place for participants to start taking an active stance on making our world a better place. There will be resources for teachers and students to raise awareness and funding for the issues that touch them. This semester's theme is the global effects of HIV/AIDS.

  • Webumentaries

    Webumentaries are 2 minute clips providing insight into the country. These webumentaries are “on demand” and can be downloaded at anytime. Expect webumenatries on major cultural sights and customs.

  • Highlights of videoconferences.

    Selected videonferences will be available “on demand”. From our website, you will be able to download the conferences and examine or re-examine some of the most exciting global conversations of the day.

  • Curriculum Center

    The Curriculum Center will house a variety of educational material for teachers to help them get the most out of this journey of discovery. Teachers will be able to download lesson plans on each country ranging from global --- to the local affects of HIV/AIDS.

  • Photographs

    Photographs of the journey will be uploaded on a regular basis for students to have another visual way to explore our world.
